I’ve heard that phrase a lot from teenagers recently. I guess it’s the new thing to say. And it certainly works perfectly for the title of this blog post.
I know I’ve been posting a lot of political videos, but its because I am seriously SCARED that in 39 days America is going to elect a TERRIBLE candidate for president. I have never been worried like this before. Barack Obama is scary. And his followers scare me!
Here are some of the answers that were given by Obama supporters when asked to name ONE accomplishment by Barack Obama:
“He’s the only African American Senator”
“He gave a great speech to not go to war in Iraq”
These are accomplishments? He happens to be 1/3 African American and he gave a good speech? Wow.
I watched all three of the following videos and was so disturbed by how ignorant people can be when it comes to choosing the future LEADER of our country.
Seriously now. Seriously.

and this guy could very well be our next President…..ugh….
Only because I love to play devil’s advocate…
We are in perilous times – Christians need to vote!
Justin – I’ve seen that video as well. Still doesn’t tell me anything he’s accomplished for our country. All that video stated was personal success. That’s all Obama is about…himself.
Not sure what you are expecting from his Cassidy.
The video mentions several laws and reforms he has been involved with, including two with his own name in the title of it.
I disagree that he is ALL about himself, he is running for the presidency, people want to know about him. He HAS to talk about who he is, prove himself. McCain does the same thing, Most of the speeches I see about McCain in some way mention his experience in the war, as a pow.
The difference between Obama and McCain is this:
Obama TALKS about what he thinks will make this country better.
McCain DOES what is best for this country.
I am tired of hearing Obama’s “Woe is America. Oh, America isn’t what it used to be.”
We are still one of the most blessed and greatest nations in the world. We have a LOT to be thankful for. And of course the economy is going to suffer, we are in the middle of a WAR!
I would rather look to a man who is going to bring true HOPE. Who believes that our country is a great nation. And that leader is John McCain.
How could you trust a man that looks to terrorists and radical racist leaders and calls them friends?
McCain DOES what is best for his country? Interesting.
You are right, we are in the middle of a war. A war that “Christians” led us into. I wonder if Bush and McCain really sought their faith in making decisions to lead us into war? In my understanding of Scripture, especially New Testament Scripture, God is a God of love, peace, and unity. I believe Jesus commanded Peter to put his sword away.
I am voting for the candidate who appears to be in favor of peace, not war…of unity, not disunity…of caring for the poor, the orphaned, the neglected, the outcast, the least of these. I am not voting for the candidate who wants to continue to take care of his wealthy friends…to make sure he isn’t over-taxed on his millions and his 7 homes…who is pro-war and somehow claims to be pro-life???
I stumbled upon your blog via Brody. Your comment about Christians voting for someone who mocked Christianity and supports abortion. Obama never mocked Christianity…he said we Christians (remember…he is a Christian) can’t pick and choose which parts of the Bible we want to follow.
Also, I am a pastor in a denomination that is in favor of safe and legal options for abortion because we understand their are circumstances in which the health of the mother and child might be at risk. To ban abortion leads to unsafe options. I do not favor abortion. I would hope that no one would come to this end. However, some get there…and I believe safe alternatives should be available.
Tell me this, how can the same people that protest abortion be supportive of capital punishment and war? It just doesn’t make sense…because through the death penalty and war, one human is deciding when another humans life ends. Isn’t that similar to abortion?
Anyway, outside of the political realm, I really do enjoy your site!
Jason – “caring for the poor, the orphaned, the neglected, the outcast, the least of these. I am not voting for the candidate who wants to continue to take care of his wealthy friends…”
You are voting for the candidate that he says he will care for the poor, neglected, and ourcast – yet Obama has a brother who lives in a broken down hut in Kenya and an aunt who lives in the slums of Boston! What makes you think he is going to care for ALL the underprivledged people in America when he doesnt even care for his own impecunious relatives?!
Hmm…
